Maximize Income Through Accurate Rent Determinations
This course is designed for those new to calculating rents and for those wanting to reinforce their knowledge of income and rent determinations before the full implementation of HOTMA. Participants will learn procedures for determining, calculating, and documenting income and rent calculations. Desktop reference guides will be provided to assist you in the rent calculation process.
This course includes the portions of HOTMA that are either required or permitted to be implemented for all income determinations with an effective date of July 1, 2025, or later. This includes HUD’s New definitions for “Day Laborer,” “Independent Contractor,” “Seasonal Worker,” and “Health and Medical Care Expenses” along with the New mandated income exclusions. Attendees will receive a workbook with case studies and worksheets to reinforce the principles presented.
