Learn How to Achieve Income Integrity Through the Accurate Identification of Income & Calculation of Rents

This online course is designed for those new to calculating Total Tenant Payments, HAP, and Family Share of Rent, and for those wanting to enhance their knowledge of income and rent determinations before the full implementation of HOTMA. Participants will learn procedures for determining, calculating, and documenting income and rent calculations. Practical resource guides will be provided to assist you in the rent calculation process. 

This course includes the portions of HOTMA that are either required or permitted to be implemented for all income determinations with an effective date of July 1, 2025, or later. This includes HUD’s New definitions for “Day Laborer,” “Independent Contractor,” “Seasonal Worker,” and “Health and Medical Care Expenses” along with the New mandated income exclusions. Case studies are interspersed throughout the training to reinforce principles presented.
